supporting the startups of the future

supporting the startups of the future

Global partnership seeks to provide pioneering startups with valuable tools to facilitate success, while also working toward fulfilling the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Our global partnership with SAP Next-Gen is designed to connect startups with SAP’s extensive purpose-driven innovation network. By 2020, we hope to jointly connect founders and promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in 40 different cities, from Los Angeles to Singapore to Johannesburg.

Our guidebooks aim to help aspiring founders build their businesses by navigating different startup hubs across the globe. We have produced books in over 20 different cities across Europe, the US and the Middle East, including London, New York, Berlin and Tel Aviv. Each guidebook provides an inside look at the most innovative startups, entrepreneurs, investors, programs, schools and coworking spaces the ecosystem has to offer.

“Startup Guide shares a joint vision with SAP Next-Gen to help founders set a course for both profit and a higher social purpose,” said Sissel Hansen, founder and CEO of Startup Guide. “By connecting startups to purpose-driven accelerators, tech community leaders, universities, and institutions, we can help them accelerate their impact and contribution to creating a more sustainable future.”

SAP Next-Gen enables companies in a variety of industries to connect with disruptive startups and entrepreneurs. Its network consists of over 3,600 educational institutions in 117 countries, 130+ SAP Next-Gen Lab locations and 100+ SAP Next-Gen Chapters. The partnership will enable us to continue to tell the stories of emerging startup ecosystems – in particular, those in Asia and Africa – while also strengthening relationships with ecosystems featured in past books.

“Our global partnership with Startup Guide creates new opportunities around the world for companies in the SAP ecosystem to connect with purpose-driven startups,” said Ann Rosenberg, senior vice president and global head of SAP Next-Gen. “Corporates are increasingly seeking to seed in disruptive innovation with startups, particularly those that are linking their startup concept to a higher social purpose.”

By aligning SAP’s innovative network with our extensive knowledge of global startup ecosystems, we hope to help support a new generation of entrepreneurs intent on challenging the status quo.
