📍 Adams-Lehmann-Straße 56, 80797 Munich

Combinat 56 is often described as Munich’s very first coworking space, and since its 2010 opening it has expanded and improved to offer an office-away-from-home experience that’s decidedly modern.

📍 Werinherstraße 3, 81541 Munich

Founded by Volodymyr Taranovych (COO) and Dr. Yuriy Taranovych (CEO), IDEA KITCHEN is a creative coworking space where, according to the founding duo, “ideas are born, shaped, seasoned and brought to a boil.”

📍 Gotzinger Straße 8, 81371 Munich

Impact Hub Munich, located close to Implerstraße station and just a few minutes from the city center, is in a refurbished industrial building. It opened in 2012 and its team has since grown to 14 people who support around 200 members.

📍 Lichtenbergstraße 6, 85748 Garching bei München

A number of fablabs have cutting-edge equipment, but the unique advantage of MakerSpace is the variety on offer: sewing equipment sits in close proximity to laser cutters, and 3D printers are in reach of water cutters and turning machines. The result is a one-stop shop for unhindered creativity.

📍 Salvatorplatz 3, 80331 Munich

Launched in August 2017 and now with three locations in Munich in addition to others across the globe, Mindspace occupies the higher end of the local coworking market. It prides itself on prime locations; Munich’s Salvatorplatz location, close to the Odeon Platz U-Bahn, is custom-designed with local art, fine finishes and vintage furnishings.

📍 Ganghoferstraße 66b, 80339 Munich

Founded in 2015 by Lukas Koppitz and Gerd Krohn, smartvillage is a mixed-use coworking and meeting space for large companies, startups and individual entrepreneurs alike. Having both led startups prior to launching smartvillage, the cofounders were inspired to create the space after discovering their clients were in need of better workspaces for off-site meetings.

📍 Atelierstraße 29, 81671 Munich

Formerly a mashed-potatoes factory, WERK1 in the heart of Munich now bills itself as “the most startup-friendly place in Munich.” The nonprofit space, which started in 2013 through a public-private partnership with a focus on the media industry, is now industry-agnostic, open to all high-growth digital startups, and offers incubation and mentoring programs.

📍 20 Oskar-von-Miller-Ring, 80333 Munich

Founded in 2010, WeWork is a global entrepreneurship community with more than 400 locations in 100 cities and counting. In August 2018, WeWork opened two new locations in Munich. Their main location, Oskar-von-Miller-Ring, is housed inside the former headquarters of Siemens and named after a famous German architect.
