Escola Startup
Sector: gastronomy
Part of the Rede Calabria and Escola Startup, the First Edition Food Makers Program trains young entrepreneurs from vulnerable communities in Bom Jesus to create impactful startups in gastronomy. Equipped with three labs (tech, gastronomy and social media), the program guides one hundred young people per year through entrepreneurial theory and practice so that they can transform innovative ideas into market-ready startups in only twelve months. These future entrepreneurs also get access to mentors, workshops, lectures, webinars and specialized pitching and prototyping training. “Our idea is to break the innovation bubble by putting into practice a revolutionary entrepreneurship program,” says project coordinator Gabriel Karst de Oliveira. “We want to be a booster of transformation and social justice and to stimulate the integral development of people so they can grow as conscious and responsible protagonists of a fair and collaborative society.”
