On November 13th, the Startup Guide Summit brought together global changemakers at Casa do Impacto in Lisbon, as part of the Shaping the World Festival. This dynamic event united startups, investors, public sector representatives, community builders and stakeholders from 60 startup ecosystems to explore bold solutions for some of the world's most pressing challenges.

A full day of innovation and collaboration
The Startup Guide Summit offered a jam-packed agenda designed to inspire, connect and empower. From thought-provoking keynote sessions to practical breakout discussions, the summit was a hub of collaboration aimed at fostering partnerships capable of driving real-world impact.

Impact Shakers Pitch Competition

One of the highlights of the summit was a Pitch Competition, hosted in partnership with Impact Shakers, a global ecosystem focused on inclusive entrepreneurship. Startups presented their ClimateTech and InclusionTech solutions, with a diverse range of innovative ideas vying for the €10K prize from the Impact Shakers Microfund.

The winner of this year’s competition was Coobi, co-founded by Manya Agarwal, whose groundbreaking work in digital support for addiction therapy impressed the judges and audience alike.

Inspiring voices

The summit featured a stellar lineup of speakers who shared their insights and experiences on shaping impactful innovation and inspiring breakout sessions focused on funding, ecosystems and implementation.

Networking dinner: A night of connection and collaboration

The day concluded with the Networking Dinner that brought together entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem leaders to discuss shared goals, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for impactful partnerships. The informal atmosphere fostered authentic conversations, reinforcing the importance of community in driving innovation. The dinner was created and crafted by Vince Talbot, a passionate vegetarian and plant-based chef living in Portugal, and sponsored by Delta Ventures.

The Startup Guide Summit was a catalyst for action, fostering collaboration and practical solutions to global challenges. By building connections and empowering collective innovation, the event celebrated the spirit of change and laid the groundwork for impactful ideas to shape a better future.
